Taking Notez – Island Pond Consulting

Notes from My Work with Salesforce and Cloud Technologies

New Job

I suppose I could start with a remark such as, “It’s been a long time since I last posted here”. And, I suppose in a passive way I have taken care of stating the obvious. Now, on with the bigger news. I changed jobs a few months ago. After twenty years working with Dave Jacob and Jacob Solutions, Inc. and its derivative Davalen LLC. I have found my way to a new employer. I will miss working with him and his business parter, Len Barker.

Today I am a technical instructor with Global Knowledge providing instruction in support of a variety of IBM products including the Digital Experience suite of products, the underlying platform, WebSphere Application Server, and other integrated products such as IBM Secure Directory Server, IBM Secure Directory Integrator, etc.

It has already proven to be a great opportunity and lots of fun. At the same time I find myself having more opportunity to engage in personally rewarding activities as a Scoutmaster with Troop 25 of Pelham, NH.

Along the way, I have had opportunity to “play” with Dreamweaver again, after a lengthy hiatus and am thrilled with the enhancements. Most recently I had a chance to experiment with the Fluid Grid Layout tooling. All I can say is how fantastic it is for rapid development of responsive sites. More about that, soon, on another post.

Meanwhile, it’s nice to be back and I hope to see more of you in the coming weeks.
